Here's my building so far (power plant) it's up to 7,940 polys it's the window frames that jumped up my poly count up, I haven't done the pipes and silo's yet, I guess I am going to go over my limit, but hopefully not too much. In regards with my spaceship the modelling is done and the texture as well the only thing left is the nodes. With my character going to start the hi-poly detail soon for my normals map

Awesome Vincent, have you got a normals with spec for ship? regardless ill come in and use your ship as a quick demo for the nodes and bounds.

ReplyDeleteWell ill post soon, but because ships aren't so dynamic, we'll just have upgrades pertain to specific ships; for example... your ship doesn't suit a turret; or over-sized parts. Also the style etc.
ReplyDeleteVisual upgradeswill only pertain to turrets, boosters, jets, primary weapons (lasers) and secondary weapons (cannons, side winder guns, pulse weapons, etc).
You can always use a 2 sided texture for the window things, I doubt you'd need a normals map on them for any additional 3d effect.
ReplyDeleteUsing textures for things like that can be quite fashionable if kept consistent.
