As discussed today we will now use mesh hiding in order to change parts on ships. This involves using seperate shapes inside max, with unique names; the NAMRES will be the same in every ship.
For example, Junkdog's boosters will be named 'Booster1_l1_2' or similar.
A ladder resource was created and put on GG forums; however, it is total shit and does not work :)
Although we will be using mesh hiding the weapons on the ship will still need to be single-fire (one muzzlePoint), seperate models; as weapons are mounted as images; this is somewhat easier than mounting just the muzzle in an invisible weapon; it also means if there is a gun that can be crossed with another ship... which is unlikely by the looks of things. Then we can do that.
