ReplyDeleteAny particle effects just tell us, and if you need a particular texture to have specular or light emission that can be done as well.
It's common in game modelling to apply multiple textures to one shape in order to get a graphic effect in - of course this can be done with light maps anyhow.
Any opacity just needs alpha levels in the texture.
