  1. Cool Josh. On this subject - there will be a few more programmers when everyone is in their second semester; so there may be two separate games being created; more programmers doesn't really equate to more work.

Hope you guys get interested and dedicated in making a game :)

Decide on the concept with the programmers (they know what they can do with the engine). They might want to do two different games as well - it does of course depend on next semester's turnout (there are a total of 16 cert IV programmers, 60%~ may pass).

Start drawing / quick modeling beforehand :)

  2. The game choice is up to "the panel" who consists of Tim, Allan, trav and Phil i think but im sure its not up to us.

  3. Well you guys should still decide and then confer with "the panel" any how.

  4. thats not fair! Us programmers should be on that "panel" too. Unless alan and travis want to help make the game :P

  5. the lectures are going to pick the game that is the most achievable us multimedia people do not get to be on the panel either

  7. They're only deciding on a the initial concept, what you, the multimedia & programming teams, produce is up to you.
Furthermore if all of you throw a big enough tantrum I'm sure they'll let you do whatever you want.

At this point both teams should be talking to each other about the concepts that the multimedia students have.
For each concept you need to consider the programming requirements and the art requirements. There needs to be a devil's advocate from both of the teams, shooting down things that aren't realistically achievable.

  8. Isn't it great how kind the TAFE games programmers and multimedia students are! :O

And although I have been instigating this topic - I would like to get the current project at hand into overdrive. With just 3 weeks left, it's crucial. Oh and I'll post something for the artists.
